Default Stiffer Leaf Spring?

What, if any, are the advantages to a stiffer leaf spring? I was considering replacing the stock leaf springs in my'66 coupe,as they need it anyway, and was looking at the 165 lb/in rating.

Default RE: Stiffer Leaf Spring?

Better handling. It will resist leaning in the corners.
Be able to carry bigger loads without squatting the rear.
99% of the time it will better resist wheel hop due to axle wind up.

Ride will suffer.
