I have plans to shoot for 300 rwhp this summer and will need new fuel injectors. I'm thinking a c&l 76mm maf tuned to 24#s. I want to save some money and get all this used. I have reason to believe the previous owner of my car replaced the injectors, how can i tell what is in there by looking at them?

If I need to get different injectors, i would like to get them from the junkyard. I have heard that some continentals have 24#ers, along with the mark 8. Are there any others and how do I identify them?(heard they may have light blue tops)

perfect, thanks. I assume they are all interchangeable except the one that is clearly marked as not being so?

just changed mine this weekend, I can tell a definate differance. They are blue tops, original are and orangey yellow color. I have a slight miss, I think its something to do with my egr, but it runs like a bat out of hell.

I was at the junkyard yesterday and saw some white top injectors in a couple t-birds but that picture shows that the white tops in the trucks are 24#. Are the ones in the t-birds the same? I also found some of the light blue top ones in a Mark but someone threw em on the ground and they were covered in sand and dirt, could only find 7 of them too.

not to hijack the thread
but when i bought my car (88 gt)
i was told it had 24# injectors in it
so i do a MAF conversion and get a MAF calibrasted to 24#s
after looking at my injectors they look like the stock 19s
they are sort of a yellow orange color
the car seems to run alright
every once in a while it has a slight miss in it
not sure if its injector related but just thought id ask while this thread was up

Orange injectors are 19's...

If you had 24's installed while the car was still SD, then you would have known something was wrong...

White top injectors are ~17Lb if I recall.... not sure though.
Point is, they aren't an upgrade.

wouldnt having 19# injectors and a 24# sensor cause it to run bad?

if your injectors have yellow tops they are stock 19lb, you need to get a good set of blue tops thoughs are 24lb and get a matching mass air meter calib. to 24lbs you can get the set off ebay all day long for about $150
but make sure your pump is fresh i would recomend picking up a 190lph intank and throw it in there the pump will ruffly cost you about $90 and then upgrade ur fuel pressure regulator thats on ur fuel rail to a adjustable for about $60 and throw a inline fuel gauge on the service porton the fuel rail, set your pressure at about 44 if ur not worryed about gas milage and you shluld have a nice boost in performance, i hope you have a good air intake. recomend mac or bbk fenderwall cold air intake. if you want more info feel free to send me message or somthing , i got complete plans and stuff for ur car:D

I was going to match my injectors up with a c&l 76mm maf and tube. Would the tube prevent me from using after market cai's?
