i think thats just classic 'old people smell'..  i would go on a mothball search though.. thats what they remind me of after theyve fermented in a closet for a long time..   but if i were you i would try to saturate the closet/drawers (wherever youre keeping your clothes) in oust.. i find it works waaaaaay better than febreeze to get odors out..   or if you go to the pet section of most stores theres this Oxy stuff?  i honestly dont remember the name but the one in particular that works awesome is two seperate cans (a blue and a silver) that have one nozzle and sprays..  it got cat spray outta my carpet.. so it would HAVE to work on old people smell..    and if you were really THAT hardcore to get rid of it.. id go to the store (prob a petstore) and get natures miracle.. comes in a gallon/half gallon container and wash your sheets and such when you get there and spray the room down with it and shamploo the carpets.

im almost an expert in smell removal with all the animals i gots and all the bloody messes ive cleaned up.

Yeah baking soda does work well. When it flooded I got water in my car and baking soda got the smell out 100%.

Well you could keep big quanties in the room or closet. It absorbs oder. You could also let some sit in the carpet too. (This is what I did to remove the flood smell).

Glade plugins, incense, Cedar packs for your closet, febreeze, candles, cherry scented douche for granny.

Or... You could always buy a window unit air conditioner and never worry about it again.  200 dollahs...

I say nut all over the carpet, sheets, wall, and anything else in there. When it dries it will be a protective layer not letting any smell permeate. This may work on grandma also.

The school semester is over which means I will be spending a lot of time back home and a LOT of time with my grandmother. I have my own room at my grandmothers which is pretty nifft but her house smells and thus my clothes and myself end up smelling like bengay...I have no idea what the source of the smell is but the whole house has always been like that.

What can I do to freshin up my room there?

LOL your grandmothers an ass!
