Default weld in mufflers - 03 mach1

Alright, for my dad's birthday I wanna get him some weld in mufflers for his showroom stock 03 Mach1. so, my question is, on the stock mach1 exhaust, what is the muffler in/out size, and what is the muffler pipe pattern?ie. where do the in/out pipes sit on the muffler? Im probably going to go with regular flowmaster 40's since i dont have much to spend, its just hard to find some for a decent price.

how do dynomax sound on mustangs as weld ins? i saw a youtube vid, it didnt sound bad. i just want something that makes his car sound like an actual muscle car.... that stock exhaust is SO quiet, and the mustangs sound so good with a little open muffler on them. the issue is i can get dynomax for 40 bucks each where the flows are 80 each.....

I think they are all 2 1/2 inch.

The stock mufflers are 2 1/2" diameter. They are offset/offset and 14" long.

I would go for Magnaflow. I think they are about $70-80 each, but they are stainless.

offset from eachother too right? not both offset to one side? thats about the same price as flows, so i will probably go that route since i like magnaflow over flowmaster. i didnt expect them to be so expensive for just the muffler itself though.....

stock piping is 2.25, and regular magnaflows wont really be any louder than the stock setup. If he plans on keeping the stock midpipe get some dynomax bullets to weld in. They are like loudmouth 2's and sound great with the stock midpipe.

u gotta remember hes an old fart. the idea is not much difference until he gets on it, and then I want a nice healthy roar. im having a hard time believing flows or magnas wont change sound, this car is so freakin quiet right now.

I have flowmasters, and it made a world of difference as far as sound goes. I think you would be ok with magnaflows or flowmasters, just yourchoice.
