you dont need to go to the neg battery cable, just find a good ground on your car under the dash area (a peice of metal) and that is your black cable that goes there, your red (live) i just stuck mine into the fuse box, along with white (light) i stuck it in the fusebox under the fuse for the dash lights, any more questions ask..

drill a little hole in the metal (if possible) or find a hole or screw and remove the screw and insert your wire then tighten the screw back down. you may be able to pinch the wire under it, or you may have to put a little circle clamp thingy on the end of the wire..

as for the 12v stick it in the fuse for your stereo in the fusebox or anything that has power whenever you turn the key on.

put yuor 12v wire (red wire) into the fusebox, just find the fuse for your stereo, pull the fuse out, put the wire in there, and shove the fuse back in over top of it pinching it down into place.
