i'm watching the news and they are talking about this cab driver who finds an antique violin in his cab worth 4 million bucks and they are so impressed that he turned it in...

question

what the **** can any normal guy do with a 4 million dollar violin?

i mean really...does anyone here know a fence that can move a 4 million dollar violin? does anyone know a pawn shop that can handle a 4 million dollar violin? would anyone think that a broken down looking piece of crap like that would be worth 4 million anyways? i'm thinkin what else would anyone do? now if he found a bag of money and turned it in hed be a complete tool...but in this case who the hell would have kept it

The guy who left it in there was not a normal guy...he was a grammy nominated violinist...all those to of the line clasical musician guys have violins and what not from the 1700's and are worth a substantial amount of money.

One guy last year dropped his and it was worth a few million...

EDIT: The guy who left it in there, once he realized he lost it called the NY Transportation Dept and then the Cab companies to put the word out of what was left in there...And the driver didnt realize until the next day. He left his cab out over night in the street w/ the violin sitting in it's case in the back seat...

Hope he got a bit of a reward. Turning it in was the right thing to do, it didn't belong to him.

Hell, sell it to a museum for 3 million, and everyone is happy.

Don't you remember a few years back, when someone bought a picture frame at a garage sale, opened it up, and it turned out the paper backing as an original copy of the declaration of independence? That was worth several million as well.
