One of these amps to power it. I was thinking the Alpine, since it's a class D and will be powering a sub.

One of those amps to power the speakers.
What do you all think? I've got a $200 Panasonic H/U that will be up front of it all. Which amps should I go with? It's a low budget system. I think that set up will sound pretty good for the money. Opinions?
seight311 04-26-2008, 05:00 PM I see Kicker and Crutchfield in all of those links, neither of which would ever fall into the catergory of a decent budget system.
Profile amps
CDT CL-61A's? ($100 set)
Build your own box
Kv2 series eD subwoofer
Maybe $200 in amps there, $100 in speakers, $40 for a box, $100 for the woofer, $70 wiring and misc.
So youre sitting at just over $500.

Word. That will destroy that kicker setup any day of the week.
ksranger 04-27-2008, 01:33 PM I'll look into those.
I was just using crutchfield to show the items, I didn't plan on buying from there.
PReal 04-27-2008, 10:03 PM How much total do you want to spend???

ssv6ponypower 04-28-2008, 01:45 PM what are you talking about cruthcfield is one of the best places to buy from i have save over 1000 bucks using crutchfield and like preal said a lot depends on what music oyu are listenign to whetjer you want a lot of spl or not
disturbed471985 04-28-2008, 02:25 PM wow ssvy uve been raped by cruthfield and u liked it??? U did not save money i promise u. You might of got that free shipping but actually u still paid for that shipping. Go with seight if ur going the broke route.
ksranger 04-28-2008, 11:24 PM I'm not wanting to spend over $600. I'd prefer to spend less.
I listen to classic rock, new rock, metal, alt rock. All kinds of rock. Sometimes I'll play other stuff if I'm in a bassy mood.
I plan on a sealed box, for tighter bass.
And crutchfield rapes you on their prices. Ebay's a lot cheaper.
joeybutts 04-29-2008, 10:13 AM Crutchfield is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
overpriced on just about everything.
Seight. Great setup.
PReal 04-29-2008, 12:08 PM If you are too lazy to research what Seight gave you, here is agreat starter system.
Comps for the front: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=52 07$100
Amp for Comps: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2839 $55
Sub: http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?products_id=721$70 (Best deal you will find for a very long time, buy it quick)
Amp for Sub: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/6443$80
Wiring: $30 from wal mart for dual amp kit.
Box: Build your own for $30
That total to under $400 even after shipping and will blow that other setup out of the water.
If you think you need two subs, get two of the 13O's and this amp: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2215$175
And, If you want the amps to match, get this for the comps: http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2217$75
That setup is still under $600 with two subs!!!
ksranger 04-30-2008, 12:41 AM I think I'll probably go with that set up :) Now the only problem is.... One or two subs! haha. With it so cheap it's hard to decide.. I don't want a ton of bass but if I want to crank it and be heard I wanna do that. What size is that sub?
Edit.. I'm assuming it's a 12" sub?
PReal 04-30-2008, 01:42 PM You just have to jump on those subs quickly. THey are being discounted to lower inventory and have been selling like crazy.
ksranger 04-30-2008, 11:39 PM Well, I went with two lol. I mean come on look at that price! If I decide two is to much, I can always sell one.;)
