Woke up this morning, and was checking e-mail and stuff, what I usually do. My bank account was $600 more than it should have been....

Checked it, and sure enough, the deposit came from "USFED"

I've already ordered brakes, caliper paint, about to buy an o/r x pipe and trying to find a tuner. Whoo!

Having a SS number between 00-20 rocks!

Holy christ. And our government thinks this will help our looming recession?

Best part was I heard on the radio someone talking (Pelosi maybe?) and saying "Well, Americans will spend this money on gasoline, or on paying off credit cards or mortgages." Uhhh no. Many Americans will spend it on dumb stuff, and our economy won't feel a BIT of difference.

Economic stimulus package my ass.

So, if every American dumps their money right back into the economy by buying products, how is that not stimulating the economy? I guess I wasn't aware that retail products aren't a part of the economy. :eek:

It isn't free. You already paid for it by paying taxes. So all it is is you getting back 600 bucks you already gave up. So if you would have spent that 600 bucks originally on whatever you spending it on now, there you go. If you originally probably would have saved it or something, you should probably stick with that.

You just need to have filed an 07 tax return pretty much. There are some income requirements like you had to earn at least 3 grand last year.
