I've read tons of conflicting information about the mach 460 and its total speaker resistance load.  And im searching for the truth.  In all honesty im just not into the complete system installation anymore.  I've done it for years for work, fun, and money on the side.  Building enclosures, running wire, batteries, caps, active eq's to sq and spl measuring d blocks and plexiglass enclosures.

All i want to do is simply replace the stockers.  Is there a currently available aftermarket speaker that is a drop in replacement?  I've seen the 6 ohm load per channel a few times on some threads.

If you have some knowledge, drop it.  Im tired of running wire!!

the woofers are an 8 ohm woofer.  The closest speaker I have seen is that parts express makes a dual 4 ohm 6.5 inch woofer that you can wire the coils in series to make 8 ohms.

Do not try and replace the woofer with a 4 ohm full range driver as the amps will not be happy.  If you replace the deck then you can replace the speakers with full range drivers but not until......
