I have an AmEx blue, only because it has no annual fee. So they occasionally send me an "invitation" for their regular AmEx, with one year free and then the usual $150/year. If that wasn't outlandish enough, today I got one for their Platinum card, with a friggin $450 (yes four hundred and fifty dollars American) annual fee...not one time fee, every damned year.
Who the GD hell carries this card? I imagine the six-figure salary guys.
I think both the regular and Platinum AmEx are no limit, but you're not allowed to carry a balance. There may be some AmEx corporate card that allows you to carry some of a balance for 2-3 months I think?

well then wouldn't that be considered a debit card rather? Not really credit if you have to pay it back within a month

Yea, I got the Blue card for the same reason...The normal Charge Card - The Green ONE you carry NO balance and they probably limited to some extent, but yet then again you also pay for the AmEx conceirge service and **** like that too!
Obviously You haven't seen/heard of the black card.
You have to spend 150k or more a year to even carry it.
Who knows the annual price.
I have seen this card. The owner of the company I work for has one. I do the accounts payable and I have seen the bills!! I will have to look at the statements again, but I think he spends about 25-30k a month and the balance must be paid every month. I have held the card, it was made out of aluminum or titainium sp something. He told me the card was invitation only, you cant go out and apply for it.

yea... my bank of america checking acount just took 100 dollars OUT of my credit because of an 'overdraft' protection... so now I owe even more on my credit card.... WTF?!?!?!
I don't need to owe anything more on it... I hate ****ing credit cards and the fact of paying people back... i can't wait to pay it off... such a mistake of getting one on my part.... I'm going back to the save-up and pay straight cash method.

My boss has a Black Centurion card. We do a lot of hardware purchases for companies on the card, and then pay them off when they pay us, so we easily hit minimums. We just had a hardware purchase for one client that was about $20,000-30,000.

I'm nobody's fainancial guru, but there are a few my wife and I have figured out: pay as little interest as possible and collect as much interest as possible, pay credit card balances off every month, and choose a card that gives you cash back on purchases. I'd laugh at anyone who asked for an anuual fee.
