Well I gave up on waiting for good weather to post pics of my car so here we go. I installed my 3d carbon louvers, tinted my windows and painted my rims. Oh I also removed the mustang side stripes. They were grey and just didnt look right. This is the first time Ive tried to post pics so please bear with me. I hope you like.

Ya. I wanted new rims but when I bought the car I didnt know about take offs. It needed new tires badly so I spent $650 on new tires. The very next day I learned about take offs. Boy was I pissed. Any way the wife says no new rims till these tires are wore out. Lol. I wanted a different look so I figured If I cant buy new rims Ill just paint the ones I have.

Painting those rims really bring them out. Otherwise, I don't perticularlly like them.

Car looks real good! What percent tint if you don't mind me asking? Should be my next thing to buy.

I really like those wheels.  I have a set that I use for my drag radials, and I think I may try painting them like that next weekend so that they are closer in look to my black bullitts up front and more in keeping with the overall look to the car even at the track.

Very nice, they came out great.

My front tint is 35%. That is the legal limit on the front in Missouri. The rear window is 15%. I didnt want any darker on the rear because I work night shift. Need to see while backing up LOL. As far as the wheels go I sanded them with 320 grit sand paper and used a scotchbrite pad in the tight corners whare I couldnt get with the sand paper. Then I used Duplicolor adhesive promoter before I began painting. The paint I used was Duplicolor wheel paint. It is suposed to be spacificly for wheels. I also used Duplicolr clear coat for wheels after aplying the black paint. I tryed to do it right. I spent about 13 hours sart to finish doing this by my self. I would have spent longer and added a few more coats of paint and clear caot but ran out of time. I had just enough time for the paint to safely set before I had to be back to work. The Duplicolr paint runs abou 6$ a can. Not the cheapest but I believe you get what you pay for. It took allmost 2 cans of black paint and 1 can of clear coat. I hope this helps you out. Good luck.

Great job on those wheels.....I'm considering this mod now, since I also have a lot of tread-life left on my tires.  Sometimes cheap mobs make a big difference.

At this point in time I dont think ill do the tabs. My brother asked the same question when i was painting them and at the time I couldnt think of a good way to do it and have it still look good. When I go back and redo them in a month or two I might then. Plus when I did them I started on them as soon as I got off work and had to have them dry enough to go back to work that night. So I didnt have much time to tinker with different ideas.

Everything looks really good.  I'm contemplating removing the side stripes from mine but my wife really likes them.  Painting those rims really brought them out.

Never really cared for those styled rims, but I must say painting the inside really helped bring them out. Good Job!

My side strippes were silver and seemed to be starting to crack if you looked close. Plus every sixer around here has side stripes and there are a lot of them. I wanted a cleaner different look. But I know what you mean about the wife likeing them. My wife liked them too. So I waitd till she was at work and pulled them. Its better to ask for forgiveness than permission. LOL. After I did it though she thought it still looked ok. So I wasnt in trouble. Ha ha.

Ya 13 hrs makes for a long day when you get off work at 8:00 a.m. and have to be back at 12:00 am. I was at my brothers by 8:30 and had the car on jack stands by 9:30. I spent about an hour washing/cleaning the wheels. Then from about 9:30 to 2:30 sanding/roughing up the paint. I wanted to make sure I had a good surface for the paint to stick to. I probably went a little overboard but oh well. Geting the tight corners took a while with the scotchbrite pad though. From about 2:30 to 3:30 I washed aind dryed the rims again and wiped them down with alcahol. After that I was ready to begin masking off the rims. I wraped all 4 wheels in plastic, trimed out the plastic around the rim and began tapeing off the rims. I used an exacto knife to trim the masking tape with. Finally I began painting around 6:00 p.m. and spent 2 to 2 & 1/2 hours doing that. At 10:00 P.M. I put the rims back on the car. By the way if you jack up your car with the doors locked it sounds the panic alarm. The people next door didnt care for that LOL. At last at 11:30 P.M. I went back to work. Which made for an even longer night but it was worth it. If I do this again Ill wait till Im off. Ha,Ha. I had thought my brother was going to help but he had something come up.
