I dont want to be on the road and give mustangs a bad rep...especially with a terminator

every day people f with me......i beat everyone so far, but i want to destroy them for even thinking they should mess with me...ha ha ha

Im talking every day drivers like a-holes in beamers and acuras......etc...I know the ones that would beat me and the ones that wont.

PS i hate slow a** trucks that are loud and come by me and let me hear their exhaust...who gives a sh** how it sounds.....youre slow. I do like the people that generally want to see a show though...i can tell the difference

Well if you have the stock Eaton, shift at about 6k, not redline. Also, powershift if you can! And drive it like you stole it, but don't be stupid in some situations.

drive it slow till u know evry detail about the car
when i first got my cobra i blew my tranny to pices after that i waiited a bit till i learnd how to shift better and stuff
but yeah always shift around 6-6.5k rpm
im finaly learning how to powershift works really well

The best tip i can offer somebody in your place is to line the hood up with a Semi and floor it. Kill yourself before you kill me with your ignorance and street racing.

Ya I don't think the phrases "how to" and "stick shift" are a good combination on a post.

Just like everybody else here did, drive it till you drive it really well, then drive it some more. And i'm talking about daily driving, not racing. Hell I'm still improving my driving and I've been driving a stick for 3 years.

Do not race if you do not know how to.

Go to the track and practice, until you get it right. You're going to make an ass out of yourself, so be ready - but keep practicing.

On a side note: You don't want to shift at redline, but you don't want to shift to early either. If you shift to early (while you're shifting at the peak of your power band) your leaving yourself in a low rpm in the next gear. I always shifted a few hundred rpm shy of redline, this way I wasn't nailed the revlimiter and I was keeping myself in the race by not premature shifting..

(some of these guys have a problem with doing things premature :eek:lol)

i learned how to powershift at 16 on a black fox body at normal speeds it burned the clutch up but it was a p.o.s anyway :) i would never dream to try to learn on the cobra, sorry but learn on a different car bud :) and trust me they know u suck at driving even if ur beating them they can hear the slow shifting

but alas im still not the best driver .. see thread ..in need of a new clutch :)

First and foremost, I agree, acting dumb often tricks your opponent into giving information in a belittling way, they feel powerful and better than you. It works, I've done it, and I've benefitted from it. But you know what? I use that to figure out where I stand against other cars, by finding out thier modifications before the race. Figuring out advice on SHIFTING, well... that's probably not something you should act dumb about, or pretend to not know about. And if you need us to be tricked into giving you information about it, then you're probably not faking it anyway. Suffice it to say, that's bull****. [:-]

Second, your comment at the end of your post suggested the lack of intelligence was again, not a farce. I am not sure I'd be looking for fights on the internet, it's not exactly the best place. Most people can sit behind the security of thier keyboards and laugh at your pre pubescent rage. It's adorable, really. If you (or your father) can afford a Terminator, then you can probably afford a crappy car to learn all these advanced driving techniques on without damaging a high dollar car.

This is too funny. I love seeing ignorance. It intrigues me. 400 hp + a driver not knowing what he is doing= disaster Trust me on this one, i know from personal experience. I was fortunate and my dad got me a 91 300zx Twin turbo with bolt ons when i was 16. Needless to say i wrecked it a monthafter purchasingit. Luckly i wasn't going that fast so it only scratched the bumper up and bent a control arm. Anyways everyone has to learn the hard way because people (in general) are stubborn. First impressions mean everything. If you act like a fool, you probably are one. If you are a fool, MAYBE you shouldnt be racing every car on the road ( or street racing at all ) because you can get someone killed? When you start athread saying you race acura's, and big trucks because of their exhaust, maybe you shouldnt be racing, because God only knows what else hes racing ( probly every car that he see's ).
