Ok Im comeing up on my first oil change and would like some input. In the past I used fords synthetic in my focus and was very satisfied. Now that I have a mustang Im considering Mobile 1 and royal purple as well as the motorcraft synthetic. Im looking for thoughts and opinions. Im only considering one of 3 mentioned above. Thanks for any input.

Mobil 1 5w30 and a Motorcraft FL-820S oil filter. But any good full synthetic is fine.

i used name brand for awhile, but now i just use ford oil and filters...no difference in performance, etc....pus, you know the ford oil and filters are designed for your car, not every car on the road...idk just my opinion/ford's marketing ploy

i highly doubt it

i run strate motorcraft synthetic blend with a motorcraft filter, in all my vehicles ive ran a sh*t load of different stuff, the factory knows best

make sure you get the right grade to while under warrenty ( thought ford used 520 but not 100% sure on the newer ones)

it's 530 for the 6...520 for pretty much everything else i believe...it was nice in my ranger i could by a 5 qt jug of 520 ford oil, no i hafta buy 5 individual quarts of 530 ford oil.....not as easy to mess with when emptying out the drain pan
