Well tomorrow morning I'm making the 1 hour 10 minute trek to the closest dealer that I could find who said they could work on my car. The car is an 06 S281 3v with 2,800 miles. I bought it new in January with 100 miles on it at a dealership that is 900 miles away. Here are the problems... check engine light is on, brakes squeal like a dump truck, passenger side air bag light comes on (means airbag is off) with a passenger in the seat, chrome on both rear wheels is cracked bad, third brake light is pink, chrome on fender badges rubbed off. Hope all goes well and they don't give me to hard of a time!!

Just try and be patient with both Dealer and Saleen and I'm sure your will be satisfied.
I'm about as patient as they come.. I can actually deal with everything except the brake squeal and the check engine light. I just want to get this stuff out of the way so I can start doing some mods!! As far as the car goes, I love it. I just came in from detailing it and I must say that it was almost, ALMOST, as good as having sex..

I just had my 06 281SC in for Service 2 weeks ago. I had my brake rotors replaced by Saleen under Warranty. The updated rotors have black hats instead of silver. So far no squeeks. My passenger side air bag light did the same thing. They re-calibrated the weight sensor in the passenger seat. No more light. After reading many of the 05 and up Forums, this is a problem for the Mustang in general and not just a Saleen problem. I also had the air bag recall done. They did not wipe out my 475 upgrade tune. The dealer SHOULD have a bulletin from Saleen on how to update the Saftey Restraint Module without touching the PCM. I didn't have a check engine light but I would suspect it is something emissions related. Bad o2 sensor or another sensor. A quick scan of the PCM should tell them what to look at. Sometimes a loose gas cap will cause it also. Just an idea...
I took my car to Hines Park Ford here in Michigan and they were fantastic!! The car was parked inside the whole time it was there and it didn't have any extra miles on it. Very top notch place. They had the car about a week. It took a few days to get the rotors from Saleen.
A small dealership is usually better. Less people they have to work with means you will get more time put into your car. As long as they are a Ford dealer, Saleen should not give them any problems.
The dealer I go to is also small, and they are fantasic, as good or better than any of the high-line brands/dealers I've dealt with over the years. I think each service encounter is more importnat to these dealers than the large, volume-oriented places.
Also, as Jazzer said, unless the CEL is somehing weird, everything on your list is well-known and has a simple fix. Like you, the brake squeal drove me crazy (I wouldn't even drive the car once it got bad) but the black hat rotors cured my car's squeal instantly and permanently, and you'll have the same experience. Good luck and get ready to thoroughly enjoy your beautiful car!

Lots of people have had those issues addressed (well except for the passenger airbag but that's another story) so I'm sure you'll get good service. I personally have had a rim replaced, badges installed, panels aligned, etc. My brake light is now pink as well so I'll probably have that replaced when I have another reason to be at the shop.

I just got back from the dealership and it went better than expected. They did a recall on the airbag and took care of that, check engine light was on due to a bad charcoal canister??, had to special order the part, and they are checking with Saleen to get new brake rotors. I checked the Saleens on their lot and they had the black center rotors and I pointed that out to them. Now I just have to wait on the parts to come. Very happy so far!!

If your car has the charcoal canister in the air intake tube, get rid of it!
Is it seriously something I can just get rid of? On the paper work it says: part# 7r3z-9d653-c Charcoal Canister & vent @ 321.04.
The Charcoal Canister is for the gas vapors to get trapped in, I'm guessing the ECU wouldn't monitor that extra charcoal filter in the inlet tube. I wouldn't get rid of the canister. But you can get rid of that small round element that is in the inlet tube just behind the air filter box.
