Obviously this excludes people who see them during the course of thier jobs (police, EMT's, etc,).
This also excludes seeing them at funerals.
I'm talking about being at the scene of an accident or where they find a body.
Back when I was in my teens I came across some cops pulling a car out of the river. I stood by and watched and when it surfaced they pulled this guy out from the drivers seat.
He had apparently been underwater for weeks and his whole body was bloated, almost pure white in color and he was pretty much frozen in this pose of shock as he was trying to correct his steering. Both hands extended as if holding the steering wheel and making a sharp turn.
One other time I came upon a car accident within the first couple minutes that it occurred.
I stopped and went to try and help and the driver of the one vehicle was able to get out and sit on the curb, his passenger (his wife) was obviously dead. You could just tell.
There were 2 guys in the other vehicle that were thrown clear and were lying in the middle of the road, both dead as well. That one kind of messed me up for a few days.

I saw a decapitated dude once he ran his car under the back of an 18 wheeler we pulled up beside the truck as it pulled away from the car and BLAMO the driver had no head. [:'(] IT still creeps me the **** out.

Yes, on the streets. Also, I was an explorer scout a very long time ago. We spent the night in an emergency room as part of our training. The security guard gave us a tour of the morgue.....whew.....hundreds of dead people in all different states. There was even one with elephantitis. All those bodies are not something I will ever forget.
