Yea, was kinda sad to see it come off of Sampson - but with the support his offense gave him I was ok w/ it later-...but hey you can not root against Griffey! I dont even have to watch the link to know wtf your talking about.

some would argue that the best swing in baseball is by who gets the most hits, not who hits them the farthest. although very akward, i think Ichiro has one of if not the best swing in baseball, and his batting average, career hit count, and OBP shows for it.

you obviously dont understand Nascar if you think its boring. I personally like watching Football over Baseball but both are sports that require skill. I wish Jr. was still with the Mariners *my home team*

Oh and might I add, baseball sucks. Boring to watch on tv, boring to watch in person, boring to play (unless drunk playing wiffleball with friends)

I watched inperson on tv and have played, its boring.

Jr. does have a pretty swing.  The only swings that I think may be close were Fred McGriff or Chipper Jones.  Chipper swings like Mickey Mantle and Fred swings like Jr.

I'll bet Jr. and Chipper are locks for the Hall of Fame.  1st ballot.

I say NASCAR takes more skill over any sport. Knowing what to change if the car is too tight or loose, most of you don't even and wouldn't even know what tight felt like over loose in a corner. How deep to take the corner, how much break, where to start turning, should I pass? No, what line is the fastest? What cars are slower than the other.

NONE of you would even be able to take a Sprint Cup Car to it's full potential on ANY track. Don't bad mouth a sport if you have NEVER been in one driving the car.

Yeah, chipper has a great swing as well, both sides of the plate too!

Best swing doesn't have to produce home runs, but I think Griffey's is just too damn smooth. Ichiro's is very awkward, but that's because he more or less slaps the ball around the field depending on the pitch location, which is why he gets so many hits.

+1 on griffey getting injured too much .. the guy is a HOF first ballot but if he didnt get hurt so much he would be near 700 as kngdaka said .. itll be good to see a non-steroid guy reach 600 though. in my mind hank is still the home run king

Im sorry but hitting a ball traveling at 85+mph, that doesnt always travel in a straight line, and is the size of an orange, with a bat, takes a **** TON of skill.  And thats all I have to say about that *gump*.  I am also not a big Nascar fan but I would love to see anyone on this forum do 30 laps without dying.

Quite a few studies have shown the hitting a baseball consistently is far and away the toughest task of any profressional sport.   BTW.....Ted Williams.....best ever

Where is Ted Williams head these days?

His kids had it removed and cryogenically (sp?) frozen  and the last I hear it was in a deep freeze in Arizona until they find a cure for what kill him and reattach his head to a ham, or tentpole or something like that....
