Hello all. my first post i wish it was with better circumstances. I just got a new bullitt.
I had an avic d3 installed in what was suppose to be one of the best shops in my area. I ran into a few problem i need to sort out before i go back there for them to fix my problem. First it sounds really bad....there is hardly any bass not that the shaker 1000 was the best ever but it had some bass. no matter what adjustments I make in the settings i can get rid of the tinny sound from the system now? could it be hooked up wrong? What settings are you guys using? also the head unit is in crocked with gaps. Did yours fit flush? Also does he illumination dim when you turn your head lights on because mine doesn't.  After the installation my ambient lighting switch does not work...no power...anyone else have this problem?  What satellite tuner did you use with the D3 for Sirius? And were you able to reuse your factory antenna because they told me it wasn't possible, but I've read on forums that you can...what are you guys doing to reuse your factory Sirius antenna? On a side note they scratched my shift ball and parking brake handle which they said they would fix....please help me with this nightmare.

Thanks Guys

Scott

Get your scratched parts fixed, get all your money back and go elsewhere.

DO NOT under any circumstances allow them to do anything else for you. If something like that ever rolled out of the shop I worked at and no one said anything about half of the features not working and the SQ being so terrible. I would have been fired.

Unless they offer to fix everything to your satisfaction and do it all free of charge and give you the unit free, go somewhere else.

eh, I am torn there.  It sounds like there are a couple of little things they are missing and it may still be fixable but as he said it never would have rolled outta my shop soundin bad.  You paid for the install so they should do it and do it right, give then the chance to fix it.

No bass, are the subs on at all?  Does it make a popping noise when you turn it on?

What shop?

1) they need to hook up the shakers, they are prob disconnected.
2) they need to replace your shifter.
3) they need to straighten the radio.
4) they need to use your stock antenna...altough i myself, im not sure if this is possible, i would imagine so.
5)reconnect your ambient switches, they have to be disconnected to get the radio out, the dipshit didnt re-conect them.
6) FIRE THAT INSTALLER!!!
