Should be simple right?? Tried to install a new 14 inch shorty.  During step one....(unscrewing the stocker)  it snaps at the threads.  Now I have the stud stuck in there and no antennae.    So, any tips on how to get it out of there now??

Have XM to so at least im not silenced...

wow, that is a big ol can of worms you just opened....  BIG CAN....

Now you will need to remove the old antenna base, which will require removing the passenger fender well and feeding the wire through and of course pull the deck out.  It is really not for the faint-of-heart as it will require patients and possibly some specialty tools....

OR you can leave what you have there, and put in an underdash strip antenna which will only require removing the deck, you will need to figure out what to do with the broken base.
