Uhhggggg!  I don't care what you have, but i'd like to see that 121mph trap speed on a dated timeslip when you only had a 3.6 inch pulley.  You should be easily trapping 130 with your new found power.

Here is what I am looking for a dependable yet vette killing, tire smoking, fung stang.. I don't care witch S/C gets me there I just don't want to spend an ass load of money once I do

Any s/c can do that for you but the best bang for the buck vette killer is the paxton 2200. At only 430rwhp ( had it de-tuned) I smoked a new c6 ( I did a write up on it a few weeks ago). One reason I wanted a supercharger was to be able to smoke vettes and this kit has delivered!

thanks for that you rock

I went with the Saleen SC/475hp upgraded, IMO its the best and most effiecent SC on the market if you compare rwhp numbers, I am making as much HP as most the guys with Whimples and KB SC that are running 10psi of boost and I am only running 6.5psi.

With that being said if you ever plan on building a motor and running 20psi or more then you will need to go with something other than a Saleen SC currently they are only good for about 15psi, at least until the new Shacker hood setup comes out, but no one I know of has numbers on that yet.

LOL you are the only one here that would believe that statement.  So tell me how a lower displacement twin screw will move more air and make more power?  Remember an engine is nothing else than an air pump the more air you get in the higher the hp.  The saleen is great if you want to keep your engine with stock internals and such.  You can't pass 14 psi on a stock saleen blower.  If you want under 650hp go with the KB, The KB is = to the Whipple but after 12ish psi the KB is argueably better.  Now that being said if you want over 650 and you still want a blower go with the whipple 3.4L or a turbo.

You may want to rethink your "if its good enough for ford racing", trust me take some time do some research for stock block applications, the Saleen is the way to go.  I am not trying to knock the other SC on the market, but maybe you should be saying "if its good enough for Saleen" remember they do make the most powerful mustangs on the market, even more power than the super snake, check out the HC302SC or the new extreme, they are using the same SC I am.

News flash kiddo Ford Racing uses whipple superchargers :)  The only saleen s/c that is on a production based ford car is on the f-150 pick up trucks the harley if I am not mistaken.

Anything but a Paxton on a Mustang is just not right. It is also the only kit that will give you 460-480RWHP out of the box.

Yeah put a paxton and kiss your powerband goodbye.  BTW say good buy to full boost at anywhere before the redline lol.  Personally turbo is the way to go.  You just can't beat 438/480tq @ 7psi full boost @ 2.7k

What kind of powerband are you looking for?

Twin screw: instant torque...feels like a big block...whines under wot
Centrifugal: belt driven turbo...power band claims steady from roughly 3000rpm until you let off the gas...
single turbo: big torque and horsepower..begins making boost as early as 2200 and makes full boost by 3000...hits hard and does not stop pulling  but does stop increasing power by 6200

Like I said previously though.  For a turbo you want a taller gear to put more load on the turbo.  4.10's are not an ideal gear for that.  If I didnt have a turbo I would probably have a saleen or whipple.

If you see lower #'s at high rpms on hp that is because ur turbo is mated wrong.  The thing is there are so many aspects on turbo sizing that people forget about it.  It is not only just front and compresor size.  You gotta take into consideration the wheel size, What stage it is, the design of the impeller.  They are over 12 variables on a turbo.

lol...this thread has been hilarious to read.  Supercharger boys arent suppose to fight each other.  Y'all are suppose to fight against us turbo guys.  We are the darkside in the FI mustang realm.

All the Turbo stangs hang out at m0dularf0rds.com don't you know.  Even the moderators over there have turbos.  If you say anything bad about a turbo on a mustang over there you get a warning pm'ed to you.  If you get enough warnings your blower automatically turns into a turbo.

Exactly the thing with turbo mustangs are most turbo mustangs already had a s/c at one point in their life and will never go back where as the people that say turbo's suck never have had a turbo in their life a limited experience with dynosaur era turbo's in the 80's.  And post most of their BS from things they read on their net similar to this kid with the saleen kit.

Jesus Christ!  Whyh does everyone on this site buy into the whipple myth?  If you spend some time and PM the right people you will see that for what you want the whimmple may not be your best option.  The Saleen SC makes more power at lower boost than either the the KB or whipple, if you dont believe me PM mustard05 or read his post*(he is a very good friend of mine).  And every whimple owner will come back and say "my SC make more power at 10psi than the Saleen,  but that is not true, what is true is that they do not need to run a pulley as small as the Saleen to make the same the boost, but at the same psi the saleen is a much better SC than either of those.  Now don't quote me on this but, it seems to me that the whimples make more boost on the same size pulley as the Saleen, they just don't make the same power.  Personally I don't care which direction you go , but please read, study and ask, before you spend.

Whipple myth?  So tell me how in the world you at 6.5 psi are making the same power as all of YOUR SALEEN counterparts at 11ish psi??

how did i make 452 rw on a 3.6.  at 7 to 8psi.   and right now 480 at 9.85 psi.   your coorect on most of what you said but first off you must realize 80% of users on the and other forums will never see a need to reach that much horsepower muchless a want or a need.  as for all these t/s blowers in the 400 to 500 range i do belive saleen isd the best.  i believe most people are stuck in the old days when you heard it has a whipple or kb and you thought omg. his blower makes 430 something at 6.5 psi.  do i believe yes.  actually i know his tuner because his tuner is a close personal friend of mine. my tuner is well known actually in the tuning world.  if you know so much then youll know of the ttford gt that makes 1400 hp, then youll know mt tuner.  its all in the tune.  i belive a custome tune vs a canned tune is what the real argument here is.  ive never really seen numbers from a custom tuned whipple at 8 or 10 psi,  mostly because i dont care but i know thier out thier.  that doesnt mean much.  until people realize a dyno sheet with numbers mean nothing,  we will always have this argument.

yes ford racing uses whipples.  i believe his stament is in reference to saleen vehicles sold at ford dealerships,  but if you didnt realize that then your really stupid,  or your trying to make him stupid.  no pun intended to you.

as for blowers and capability,  i see the saleen having more potential in the end or the same as other.  only the future will tell.  i.e. the new snorkel and the ability to port these blower.  i asume the k.b. and whipple are portable but im not sure
