Bear in mind that you, regardless of how much money you have, cannot buy a new Ferrari. The waiting list for any new one is a year or two, and spots on the waiting list are preferentially given to existing owners.
Joining the Ferrari club requires diligence: first, you must buy a used Ferrari. Congratulations! You're an existing owner. Of course many of your fellow rich folks have or have had multiple cars, so they're still ahead of you in line...maybe after another car you can actually get on a multi-year waiting list for a new one.
But yes, the resale value is MUCH better!

Abbas, If all you do is complain about your Saleen to everyone, you should probably sell it, save your pennies and try to buy the F430
I wasnt complaining about my Saleen. I was saying that if I had $180k to spend, I would rather buy a Ferrari. There is a reason why the F430 has a 2 year waiting list. Also you have to admit that Saleens DO NOT have a good re-sale value.
Thanks for being such a good sport, Josh. You know it's all in fun and I love ya more than my luggage. Or better yet, more than the car cover I paid $175 for and have never used....
Well you only sent me a check for $140, so I don't know what happened tot he other $35 lol and at least you weren't like me and spent $240 and never used it
On particularly interesting part of the story: "Chris Theodore, Ford's former head of North American product development and the man who brought us the Ford GT, stopped by...to tell us more about one of his current projects as vice chairman and chief technical officer of Saleen."
It sounds like Saleen has brought some good people on board. I hope they build the Raptor and garner more attention for the Saleen brand. Although the S7 did that to some extent, I don't think many people connect the S7 to the S281 cars in any way (nor should they). Perhaps the Raptor will be a bit closer to to the S281/302 lines in terms of shared tech development and we'll see some trickle down of new parts for the S281/302 cars as a result. I can at least dream...
