hey guys, well its been 500 miles and im happy to say everything is great! car runs stronger every day, its tight handles great and it gets more attention than my vipers did , the motor has so much power i never need to see red line! from 2100 to 4500 keeps your ass well planted , the shifter is awful but im hoping something new is available soon, plus i dont powershift, its just with a 4.10 rear there is just alot of shifting around town so id like some improvement, fit and finish is pretty decent i really wasnt looking for red but im glad thats how it worked out it always looks wet and its pretty flat, i changed the oil my self , i could not bare the thought of getting it back from the dealer with some sort of damage, been there had that!!! this may be the first car im goling to keep more than a few months, i usually hold on to them for part of the season and then move on, but i need four seats and i dont see anything cooler than an extreme coming down the road anytime soon allthough my wife and friends are betting its gone by september, either way im glad i pulled the trigger, i love the car and a big part of my decision is due to the fine people on this forum , thanks again and il give updated info as time goes on.
Do a forum search- there are a few real nice replacement shifters out there that guys are using. The Saleen shifter "upgrade" is nothing but a piece that goes into the stock shifter linkage from Ford.
I'd go with the MGW upgrade- I have read nothing but glowing reviews from guys using it on their cars.

You mentioned a lot of shifting around town. I'm curious what (approximately) your max speed is in each gear with the 6-speed and the 4.10 gears. Any idea? I've been kicking around the idea of upgrading to an Extreme, which would be largely be used for tooling around town (which means heavy traffic more than not here in L.A.). Just wondering if it would be more of a pain than its worth.
