so im selling some wheels and tires on craigslist for $275. somebody has been emailing me saying how she is going to send me a money order and wants them shipped to her in cali. well the whole time i thought it was a load of cr@p and today the money order comes so im excited thinking its real. well the lady sent me an $850 money order and wants me to send her the extra money back. well i get suspicious again and call customer service for the money order and it turns out it is a duplicate. it was once a real money order but it was already cashed before and for a different amount. is there anything you can do to get this person in trouble with the police?? i had this happen to me on ebay alot with people from nigeria trying to scam me but this one is from cali. idk this is really driving me crazy though i feel like anyone who wants to buy something from me is a liar now.

Contact the local police in her jurisdiction and tell them about it. Give them the shipping address and forward the bogus money order.

Contact the "purchaser" and tell them they have been shipped along with the difference from the money order.

Tell them the package needs to be signed for and will arrive tomorrow between 8-10am.

Let the police be there to pick her up.

Or just blow it off and go drink some beer.
