I say that you just turbo your car, and not sell it and go through the trouble of buying the older one. Also, I'm not really feeling the side skirts. If you put the factory rockers back on and turbo'd your current stang, it would be so sick. Thats definitely the path i would go down if I were you.

Oh man, keep your current Stang and supercharge it! Those Saleen's look too "Boy Racer" to me.

Your current looks much better, newer, probably yours from the get-go, and probably has lower mileage. But if you want more power, then go for it. I would chose yours over the older Saleen, any day of the week.

No its not, an sn95 is from 94-98 and the new edges are from 99-04.

well, your current stang has the same styling theme as the saleen.  personally, i think the body kit, lowered, big rims, etc. look goes a lot better with the 99-04 body type IMO plus you could say you have a saleen   i think that the name "saleen" kinda means overdone, doesn't it?

technically he's right the new edges are an sn95 car.  Is that the blown one, or just the stock 4.6 with bolt ons one?  Either way, have fun, but if you are just looking at the n/a one, have you looked at mach 1's?  Similar price, more power, good looks.

Your current stang looks 10 times better than the old Saleen...but the new ones on the other hand. Personally I could give a rats ass passing an old Saleen but if I were to pass your current stang a tinge of envy may occur lol. KEEP IT!!!!

i agree....sort of. i think that model saleen looks wicked depending on color. most often though, our stangs get the most attention by far. MUCH more agressive looking.

You put so many "personal" touches into your car.  It's unique.  How could you part with it?

Well, since you asked... I don't like any of the so-called Mustangs from '74 through '04... whether it's a Saleen or anything else.

Project85,

I think I've seen you around my area before. Your car looks familiar. I live near 680fwy/Capitol and Berryessa. I believe I've even parked next to you at a stop light near the Shell station on Berryessa & Capitol. I drive a white 2007 GT/CS with a California Special windshield banner. I think I've also seen your car parked in the driveway on this small street leading to Safeway & Longs Drugs.

If it was me, I'd want to keep the S197.. I'm biased though because I didn't really like the previous body style that much.  Although sometimes I'll see a white one and think it looks pretty cool.  It just doesn't do as much for me as a white S197 though.

If you ask me,  I'd buy 08 or 09 GT.  Not much depreciation lose like you would get with a used car.  That used Saleen looks like a box of rocks if you ask me.  If used your looking for, I'd be looking for 03 or 04 MACH or Cobra!  My GT might be obtainable this September as retiring in December and won't be putting on 30K a year where I need mpg.  Also, counting on car sales to continue to be a little over 1/2 what it was.  Car dealers are really hurting as a whole.  GM manager friend of mine just returned from GM's second largest dealer in the country located in Detroit.   They had been selling 500 vehicles per month and now dwon to 192, he told me today.  Said they had 50 Vetts on the lot with 5 of them being Z06.  I wonder what kind a deal one could get if comparing to GT500?     Guess have blabbed to much!  Good luck on your Saleen, if that is what you are looking for!

I've always liked stangs, but not the 90s ones.  After 2000 they progressively got better, and when the S197s came out I jumped on getting one.  Love the new ones, not such a big fan of the later models.

The one you have looks twice as bad a55 as the saleen.
