dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see, ive put this to test..ive seen this vid, my bro has a subaru that owns Stis, he has a stage 2 WRX, hand held tuner, dyno tuned, top mount intercooler, 3 inch catless exhaust, made 257 AWHP and 351 AWTQ, and he still loses to my mustang with pypes mid muff exhaust.
omg, why do people still compare cars like this, guys its a four banger with a turbo with awd.... i never once compared my evo 8 with my mustang, its not in the same category. each car has their ups and downs, and even though my evo would blow my new mustang away..... thats not what i was looking for when i bought my stang..... Just like my buddy with a mazdaspeed3.... hes always like omg my car is faster than yours blah blah blah...... i really dont give a **** if it is or isnt, i like my car for what it is, like i can give a rats ass if your car can beat mine.... Idk but thats just me, everyone has their opinions on what they want in a car... not everyone wants the fastest car on the street.... i just like mine for what it is and i love driving around in mine.

I don't know about you all but "autographing the tarmac of my local Walmart" IS WHAT I LIVE FOR!
Seriously though, I think there was some prejudice at play with the reviewer(s).
Sure they are both sports cars, and they both have 310 or so HP each, but other than that I think it's like comparing apples to oranges.
I'll take my "musclebound blast from the past" any day O the week, thank you.
this video is embarassing to almost all stock mustangs.......Ford, you need to kick it up a few knotches!!!!
Just thought some of you needed to watch something annoying...[:@]
It's not all that embarassing. The Shelby GT is just a marketing ploy by Ford. How much will someone pay for a name and only a few relatively minor modifications?
The WRX STi they tested in the story was $39,440. Sorry, that's not a great deal. The WRX STi apparently can't even handle that well...since even my 8 year old Corvette will do .93g on the skidpad, especially for a $40k car. .90g is less than the last WRX STi.
My Mustang GT was about $28k brand new. Add 2 or 3k for modifications over the last two years and maybe we're looking at what $30k? That's no where near $40k!
The Subaru is a niche performance vehicle. I'm willing to bet the Mustang is more comfortable to drive. I can even get one with an automatic transmission or a convertible top. I'm willing to bet most people will rate the Mustang as a better daily driver unless you absolutely need AWD...and if you REALLY need AWD, then you probably should be looking at a Jeep.
