I am thinking about getting new lights. I am not sure wether or not i should. Both of my hesdlights are rotted on the outside, one on the inside. Is there anyway to repair them, or do I need to buy new ones. I have a 2001 mustang v6, was thinking about halos but everyone says they stink. Thank you
Dont both repairing normal headlights. You can get much better headlights for just a little more than replacement stock ones. I ordered Dual Angel Eye Projection LED Headlights, those are a extreme eye opener (looks so sick if you put some tint on them, you can by that from www.autobadges.com) and you can actually tell that you have your headlights on where as I could barely tell they were on.
Non-OEM headlights do indeed suck. They suck at fitment, they are 99% of the time not sealed correctly, and they aren't true projectors so the lighting is the same, if not worse, than the stock headlights.
My suggestion is to get a set of OEM smoked headlights to replace your headlights or you can try to restore your stock haedlights.

+1. OEMs generally have the best design. and the cheap ones you see on ebay, skip over them. they tend to have fitment issues that result in more headaches and money wasted.
I bought a set of clear lights off Ebay and they look, fit and work perfectly. If you want OEM you may be able to find a decent pair at a salvage yard.

I bought a set of regular projectors off of Ebay and they did great for the 16 hours I had them, until my roommate backed into my car the next morning and screwed them up. Much better for seing at night.
I bought OEM replacements off ebay and they work great, Ive had them for over a year with no problems and with a good fitment. If you are on ebay look for Blue Oval Industries, I bought my lights from them as well as my Tri Axe short shifter and they both work great, and I will be buying from them again.

The halo's are purely cosmetic. Normal projector headlights focus the light differently than our Mustang headlights do, and when combined with HID headlight bulbs they light up the road a LOT. Howver, "projector" headlights for our stangs are preuly cosmetic and do not light up the road any more than the stock headlights.

depending on what you have going on id stick with projectors without the amber you can get em on ebay for about 100$ i have clear chrome projectors and there easy as hell to install
IMO whatever headlight you go with get a HID kit too. check out Stangmods.com I talked to a guy on here that got the projector lights from there and he said he had no fitment problems at all.
I have to say that I like the halos. I have dual angel eye projectors on my 02 and I love them. And I'm a straight American muscle car type of guy. I hate the ricer look. I put some led turn signals and some ultra white bulbs, and it looks great. Real mean.
