Default 06 GT vs ?? Acura NSX

Raced a yellow NSX yesterday, had my fiancee in the car and the windows down. We just happend to pull up on a WIDE open access road and it seemed like we just had to do it.

I wasn't sure he wanted to race however, as he was an older guy and didn't really look over or give much indication.

I started kinda slow, didn't rev off the line or gun it at all until about 15mph when I heard him hit it, then we were off.

I spun on the 1st-2nd shift a little bit and he got about 1/2 car on me then, and at about the 2nd-3rd shift i pulled even and we stayed almost dead even until about 95-100mph when he let off.

I have intake / tune / underdrive pullies / muffler deletes

I wonder if i should of beaten this guy, I know NSX's are great track cars but I thought they were mid 13's in the 1/4 ?

Oh well, it's always nice to run an expensive car like that.

Ok, but can someone actually verify how fast these cars are in a straight line? I wasn't going around a track with the guy....

From a quick search I pull up 0-60 in 5.5 and 1/4 in 13.4...

with my mods i guess i should be about dead even... why would he mop the floor with me?

Granted if he had a lot of work done it could be another story, but this was some 40-50 year old guy just going home, his car didn't sound like he had exhaust either ( although couldn't hear as my muffle delete's are loud )

I told her I might of had a chance without her in the car.

I really think a lightly modded intake / tune GT could take an NSX in the 1/4 after reading up on them, as long you drive it well.

^ you must've missed the part where the NSX wasn't designed to be a straight-line world beater.[&:]

NSX is nothing short of impressive in the handling department... but straight line cars they are not.

Well done.
