I am sure it is possible, but you will probably have fitment issues with the slides. Personally, I recommend some nice Recaro buckets and get rid of all the power motors and "heated" seat options. You will save some weight as well.

You can also keep an eye out for a set of 2003 or 2004 Saleen seats. Figure $700.00-$1,200.
There's a known set of of 1999-2002 Saleen leather Recaros for a 'vert on the market, if you have interest in going OE.

Anything is possible if you have the right fabricating tools and of course patience. I have seen '85/86 Mustang GT "recarro style" seats dropped in a 1999 Saleen and they looked killer. Im guessing you'd have to get your hands on a set of 99-04 seat track brackets, hack the ones off the '05's and put your welding skills to the test.
