Funny Thing Happen This Afternoon

So I'm out driving around, showing off the new "wax" job ... getting the looks and enjoying my day. Remember I had some letters that needed mailing off ... stop by the post office and drop them into the outdoor box.

As I'm pulling out of the parking lot ... I hear a HUGE rumble of exhaust coming my way ... I look up.

2 Cars go by -- a Ford GT and a Lambo Gallardo ... the guy in the Lambo throws his hand out the window and motions for me to follow. Yeah, I was all over it ... I took off ... my SLP's trying their best to sound as good.

So we basically make a huge run around town ... only stopping at lights and letting people stare. Ok, I know -- most of them were staring at the "exotics" and not so much mine - but at any rate it felt good to roll with them.

At one of the lights, the guy in the Lambo pulled up next to me and told me that he hadn't seen a Mustang like mine ... he really liked it and said I did a great job! WOW!

All I have to say though ... it made my DAY to listen to the GT ... jeebus that thing rumbles. He got on it once and I swear to god panels in my car were shaking. Just plain impressive. I wish I had a better pic than this one ... but we NEVER stopped. It was a constant tour of our little town.

Without a doubt -- the highlight of owning this car to date.

I'm not sure .. they never really "raced" ... one would take off - then the other would .. but there's no doubt in my mind, I would have MUCH rather of been behind the wheel of the GT. That thing sounded like the devil! lol

Our town is pretty conservative ... there's ALOT of "oil" people here, but you never see anything like this ... years back there was a guy that actually had a McLaren F1 - but it was always gone for photoshoots ... so no one ever saw it on the road.

There's a few Vipers and I think I've seen atleast 1 Lotus Elise ... but that's about it.

Ended up having to go w/ eBay for those ... they were about $100 for the pair. Kinda high, but I was determined to get my hands on them.

I tried Autobadges.com (site sponsor) ... but their return email exactly worded was:

"We will NOT remake anything"

... and that was all it said. As rude / and obtuse as it was .. I understood. So I went searching and found a pair on eBay.
