Yep that was the exact picture I was thinking of when I made the post. All he did was: 1. use sandpaper to score/rough up the existing paint on there 2. use painters tape or masking tape to tape off the area you dont want to paint 3. get some good glossy black enamel spray paint Take your time and make sure you dont overspray the paint so it wont run, and make sure you tape newspaper over the body of your car so you dont get overspray on the body. (or just remove the wheels) I think they look great, reminds me of the original mustang rims.

i removed the wheels to do this...cleaned them up with some polish (for later...) then masked off all the machined/bright spokes and the trim ring areas.....scuffed up the gray painted slots with i believe 320 grit(not sure, but just enough to scuff em up a bit so the paint would stick. then used spray can primer, then 2 or 3 coats of gloss black, then cleared them....now, the reason i polished the rims before is because in case you get some overspray, or didn't mask perfect, the little paint dots will wipe right off since it's polished-up. do this 3 more times and you're done....took me about 3 hours...they lasted through the whole 40+ inch snow and ice Iowa winter without problems...here's some more pics...not the greatest, but it'll do the trick - no pics from the front though lol...pry should take some to show off that grille, eh?....oh, tires....tires are stock size...I have 3 originals, and one that needed replaced because i ran over about 5 nails in a parking lot (that was cool...NOT) PS the hood "deflector" is gone now...i thought it would help with all the snow and sand...nope...put chips in the middle of my hood instead of on the front edge, so now i'm thinkin it'll be time to get stripes soon

I agree, they look good. I don't normally like the look of those rims but that adds the touch that it needs.
