3.55 rear end swap
I have a 1997 cobra and i was wondering if a 3.55 out of a 2007 gt would fit in my rear end, i heard there basiclythe same axlebut i dont know if this is true. Has anyone done this or is it worth doing?
Thanks |
RE: 3.55 rear end swap
Def not worth doing. You have 3:27's right now and to do all that work for 3:55's would be a complete watse. I'm not a huge gear freak and went with 3:73's from 3:27's and I wish I had just got the 3:90's. I hate the screamin on the highway but the 3:90's are only 150 more rpms than 3:73's. 4:10's are 200 more rpms than the 3:90's which is just too much. The Cobra's need the gears to get out of the hole! Don't do the 3:55's unless you are getting the gears for free and having them installed for free(highly doubtful) but even then it would be a waste
