I was playing around on ponybuilder last night and tried out the 3D Carbon kit that's only for the V6. Really diggin the look, but a couple of questions if anyone has dealt with 3D Carbon or has this kit
1. does this kit lower the clearance of the car? if so how much? 2. how durable is the kit? 3. how much would it cost to get it painted? (estimate?) 4. and finally...anyone know where i can buy the pieces separately? I don't care much for the side skirts that much, may think about using gt takeoffs w/ the front air dam and rear
appreciate any feedback

Feedback: I've also wanted the front air dam for awhile and always love how it looks. I haven't given much thought to the rear bumper, but agree that it is also pretty good looking
thanks for the links man, i actually just found the lmperformance site a little bit ago. but i'm with you on the front and rear. i dont feel strongly either way about the rear but figure it matches. and plus i just dont want to look like a gt wannabe, i want people to know it's NOT a GT. but thinking about it, seems as though it'd be just as costly to get the whole kit as it would to get it separately so why not just go with the whole thing. any idea how much it would cost (ballpark range) to get it all painted? i see the painted kit is like 1300...500 more than the kit

thanks for the info man, i suppose with those painting prices i might as well buy them pre-painted...now to decide if i want the full kit or just specific parts

i have the air damn and love it. great quality. not too much of a fan of the rear bumper and im kinda 'meh' on the rockers. they look nice, but there are ones out there that i like a bit better.
i paid 500 bucks shipped from lmperformance for my painted air damn and would highly recommend it.

If to do over again get the pre painted. I don't have the 3d Carbon but the Street Scene Gen. 1. It does make the car look lower and you definitly need to watch out for speed bumps and low areas you will scrape. Definitly make sure the kit is polyurethane. I had my kit painted and installed for a 1000.
I'm gonna go duals some time. Actually I was thinking about duals before the kit just so i wouldnt have to cut the bumper or drive around with an extra hole
and thanks for the info on the air dam...what do you guys think about the 3D Carbon air dam, gt rockers, and the street scene rear valance
If I were to get a new valence for dual exhausts, itd definately be the street scene. A big reason is that it comes with just the singe exhaust hole and, the way I understand it, you can essentially just pop off the part on the left of the valence that covers the dual exhaust hole. I've always liked Project85's combination of the 3D Carbon air dam and the Street Scene rear valence, especially since that's the combo I've been considering for a long time.
actually forget that last post, i just now realized that project85 is a member's name, not an actual project...can't even start to explain how dumb i feel right now but thanks for all the info and i love the set up project85
