So, I need some help. The PO had a rats nest attached to the fender relay. The car would not start the other day (and has not without push-starting it)
I have looked at countless wiring diagrams trying to figure out the post designation for the relay (what wires go to what posts) The bottom post had a small eyelet with no wire coming out of it, I have no loose wires but I need to know if this was a ground for the relay or what went here? I have a 4 post relay currently, I feel that my relay is fried, but not sure.
ALSO In looking for the missing wire, I noticed that when I try to start the car, I see sparking coming off the ground on the starter?! Why would sparks come off the ground? It is secure it doesn't move around at all.
So, if anyone has a diagram or even a pic of their relay and what the wires are that go to what posts, that would be great.
and two, What should I do to problem shoot the sparking from the ground? Anyone have a diagram of how the starter should be hooked up? It has two large posts.
