K, well since the nine.1's are backordered and im still waiting on the DLS speakers to come, iv been desigining a box... here are a few cad drawings iv come up with for the two 13Ov.2's and the nine.1
The nine.1 will be mounted in the middle with the wires running thru the inside of the box. I would like to place a peice of plexiglass overtop the amp and have two 80mm fans in an intake and exhaust setup on both sides of the amp, and i would like to run a few red LED's along the top and the bottom. Im also thinking of outlining the two subs with a strand of red led's. The second amp, crossovers, and the distribution block will be burried where the spare tire is. The spare tire crevase is 6in deep, 28in long, and 28 wide. I will be making them flush with floor of the trunk, and possibly doing the same thing with the plexiglass and red LED's.
The other idea is to place both of the amps in the spare wheel, but id like the elemental designs logo to be horizontal so you can read it..
Oh, the box will be angled up at about.. 55 degreess? I dont want them vertical facing straight out.
Box measures 12in high, 44 inches wide, and 7.5inches deep. Cu.ft work out to be 1704 cuin or .986cuft. Ill probably extend the box another quarter inch or so to get it closer to 1cuft.
ttocs, i will be removing the spare alltogether so.. I also want one with a digital readout for that fancy look :) iv always been fascianted by statistics, the more the better. I have a readout of every sensor my PC has on my desktop lol
i figure il lget everything as close together as possible to reduce the amount of wiring and headaches.

buttt still no sign of my ms6a's, was never given a tracking number so
Call and ask.
If I have a $300 set of speakers on their way I would want to know where they are.
yeah i feel ya, but iv been in their live chat like 4 times already and i think there getting annoyed with me lol. they said they forwarded the info to DLS and they should be shipping the speakers. But i guess ill give them a call tomorow and ask them
heres the status log of my nine.1

I don't work there, but im pretty sure they will do it for you. If it was like over a month ago... I could see them saying no. But if it was just a few days I don't see why they wouldn't.
Well, sent them an email asking about it. Finished up the exact measurements today and built the whole box in Google Sketch, lol. The MS6a's came today as well, just waiting on the nine.1
The nine.1 will go between the two 13Ov.2's, the nine.2 will go in the spare wheel well, and the two cross overs will go in the other two spots. I will also pick up a distribution block at the local audio store and put that in between the two cross overs.

now my other question, i still want to put plexiglass over the amps. Will the amps get too hot with the plexiglass over it, if i make a vent? Or will i need a fan?
Box works out to 2.18cuft, or 1.09cuft per sub.

you will need to find some way to get air to the amps. having a vent is not really enough, you need some way to move the air. I used 12v fans from radio shack.
K, well got all my amps and speakers, went to radioshack, picked up 4 12v 80mm fans, went to the local audio store, picked up an amp wiring kit for a real good deal, and will be going to home depot or lowes today to pick up box building stuff
But, i also ordered two 15in red cold cathode tubes that are sound activated, and two 12in ones ;) and then some red El Wire lol.
I cant start building the box untill later this week so.. why not lol
also ordered some fan ducting material so ill be able to mount the fans on the back of the box, and route the airflow towards the amp.
dang, sorry to take so long to get in on this, lol. When building a box, the key is any air leaking out of the box is going to kill more and more bass. On all sides where wood touches wood, use industrial strength wood glue along with nails to hold it down (the nails are least important glue the most. Inside the box, use simple household white caulk to seal the entire inside on all corners and seams.
Do not mount an amp upside down, always make sure its right side up and plenty of vent, and if your putting plexiglass (or any covering) fans and AT LEAST a 1/2" gap over top the amp is a must. Hope i helped out a bit since i didn't read all of the topic.
