your personal preference.. your favorite brand of subwoofers and amplifires. answer the simple question i dont care about what kind of setup its in. just what you like, through this whole post all you've done, is critize everything others have said but never once said what you like or prefer. idiot

i had a question, but after reading all of that i cant seem to remember it...

oh yeah. eD has updated their 13Ov.2's to 400/900 watts rms in the min description, but in the larger description it still says 600/1000 watts rms. Which one is it and why are there two values?

also, they were delivered today, but i am in baltimore at the moment and wont be able to see them untill tomorow.

I like the Memphis brand, mostly the mojo series.

For both amplifiers and subwoofers.

Why do I like them?

Because the drivers are great for spl, and the amplifiers go above and beyond all expectations.

matt the word around the block is that they reset the rms and max of the speaker due to cooling issues with the coils. Correct me if im wrong someone but thats the RUMOR.

Mojo amps are nice and u cant go wrong with a mojo maxx sub(want set any records but will tear most cars apart)

I like how Hisss hasn't even brought up his setup in the 4-Runner.

Ha.

I don't have anything aside from a headunit in my stang either, a decent HU upgrade and a car with any Mach system will be satisfactory for just about anyone that doesn't use their stang as a DD.

hey quick thought...

will my electrical system hold up to a nine.1 and a nine.2x?

i upgraded to HID's (true ones, with the ballast) so my headlights only draw 35watts now... if that matters

K, so im trying to plan out my wiring scheme. This will be the first time iv done an install, and i was wondering if you can give me a background on what im going to need to do and what ill need.

In my trunk, I will have the nine.1, nine.2x, the two crossovers, and the two 13Ov.2's. Then i will have the ms6a's in the doors. What am i going to need to wire this up?

There is a grommet in my firewall that i can run the power cable though and hookup to the battery, then run it under my carpet through the driver side, out to the back and behind the rear seat. Ill put the fuse within a foot of the battery. Now, will i need to run two power cables for the amps?

Actually, it would be great if someone could draw up in paint or something a wiring diagram for what im going to need to do. It would help so much.

Thanks for all your help so far guys, once the install is done, expect tons of pics :)

an amp install is easier if you break it down into pieces.

Input - Rca's and remote turn on can be ran at the same time.  I normally tape a wire to the rca's to make it easier to do it at once.

Power - +12v, ground, and the remote you already ran.  You do not need to run two power wires, most people will run one larger one to a distrobution block, and then split it out to the smaller wires to the amp.  There should be a grommet on the drivers side that you can run the wire through but you will need to look and confirm it.  Take a look under the hood and get more familiar with the drivers side from the battery to the firewall.  It is a short but important run that if you take the time to plan proper fuse location it will not be a problem.  I think I show my fuse location on my big 3 upgrade page.

Output - These are your speaker wires.  Take into account cross-over locations and it will not be too bad.

With those amps you will need to get a 1/0 dual amp wiring kit. You will run single 1/0 back to the trunk and then use a distribution block to split the wiring into two 4 gauge sections. ( I prefer a fused d-block).

Run a separate 4 guage ground to each amp (make sure they are metal to metal contact with no paint!!!)

Go to a local car audio store or see if Walmart has an amp wiring kit.
