Anyone here have allergies to pollen?  I get sneeze attacks and my nose runs.  I've been to the doctor and am taking 180mg of Allegra, but it isn't stopping all of my symptoms.

Here's the strange part.  I never have a problem with sneezing or a runny nose while I'm sleeping but as soon as I wake up I start sneezing instantly.  It doesn't matter if I take my allergy pill before bed or after I wake up it happens as soon as I wake up.

Anyone have any idea why my sneeze attacks would happen as soon as I wake up even though I have no problems when I'm asleep?

I have pollen allergies too.  I have given up on trying to stop the symptoms and only take something when it gets absolutely unbearable.  Most days I sneeze at least 10 times, mostly in the mornings.  It seems like the longer I take med for it, the less the meds work.  That is why I only take them when it gets really bad.    Good luck.

I have been messed up for about two weeks now. This is the first year I have been bothered. I went to the doctor and he said I had a sinus infection and gave me an antibiotic and a steroid b/c my sinus passages so so swollen. The infection is gone but I am still having allergy symptoms. The best thing to do is drink lots of water to flush everything out of your system.

To relieve pollen attacks eat local raw honey.  Kinda like a natural vaccination but tastier.

i get REALLY bad allergies...mostly from grass pollen. eyes itchey, watery, sneezing. throat. whole deal. i cant take much of the pills, as they give me headaches, so i go with alevert. it works decent, but the best is to just get the hell away from pollen and dont touch your face

Raw honey guys.  Made a world of difference with my seasonal allergies.

Been there done that.

You could be right.  I know when I was a toddler I had allergies, then for probably 20 years I ddint.  Every since I can remember my neighbor has had bee hives, and used to always bring us a few jars of honey each year.  Probably when I was in my 20s he got sick and stopped fooling with the bees.  I know my allergies came back before I met hubby, and I met hubby when I was 22.  So maybe that was my "vaccination".  IDK, but I will try to find some local honey.   Even if it doesnt help the allergies, it will be good.
