I just recently purchased a new 2005 mustang V6 and I am interested in giving it a bit of a boost and a nice accelerating sound with a new air intake filter. Any ideas on where to get one at a cheap price and is it easy to install? Please help. Thanks.

Go with a K&N filter. For the money, $40+, you can't beat it. I added one and later a RAVIN series 33 muffler. Sounds great. Together they were less than $150

new intake and new muffler = good sound... but not really much as far as accelleration and/or performance...

you get a bit quicker responce on the throttle, but that's about it...

Granted, those were my first two mods... then I got the XCalibrator tuner...

It makes it a different car... responce is faster, pickup is much better, the shifting is more solid, etc...

Would highly recommend it if you can afford the $$$

Go with a green performance filter...they sell them at carxpressions.com and are really great. They are proven to flow better and they are far less oily than the historically dirt attracting k&n filters.
