does anyone in this section of the forum with a saleen have no saleen rims (ie. the plain 5 and 7 spokes)

in the future, if/when i get a v8, i am most likely going to get a saleen kit, but would like non-saleen rims so my car won't look like a saleen replica.

Thanks in advance, guys and gals!

Look at the pics I have posted to my signature. Saleen rims are nice but black custom rims are best!

Check out Red6 car. He has some FANTASTIC wheels on his ride. Although, seems to me he bought new ones, and the ones I am referring to are sold.

Whatever you do, make sure you go with 20's or 19's at the least.  With the stock Mustang fender flares mated to the Saleen fascia's and side skirts anything less would look empty IMO.

yep, thanks for the advice. i'm most likely going with 20's, cuz the options for 19's aren't as broad.

Red6 has my favorite ride on MF (someday I'll  have deep dish wheels like his):

indeed, the are very nice, but they also look very pricey.
also, i think theyd look horrible with stock brakes.
those big brakes really bring out the sexy in the wheels

The Volk GTC that Red6 is running were pretty reasonable when I bought them for another ride. You might want to check it out.

If you are going for a ~Saleen look and you want 20's, but don't want to upgrade the brakes then you might as well put the Saleen 7-spokes on there as they do a much better job at hiding the breaks than any 5-spoke will do.

yea, i was thinking the same. its gonna be to be difficult to find 20" 5-spokes that dont show alot of break.

now the dilemma is... black (for the badass look) or chrome
