frpp or pypes

1badV6 -> frpp or pypes (4/19/2008 4:28:08 AM)

well the stingers are out of my price range, and so ive narrowed it down to the violators or the gtas. i want something thats gonna be pretty loud when i hit the gas but not to loud at idle i tried my buddys streetpros hes not using they sounded great at idle but i just didnt think it was loud enough or aggressive enough. i dunno if it was because they werent broke it they were never used. or just because thats they way they are. any help would be most appreciated. thanks oh by the way my set up is jba headers pypes x and gt intermediate pipes.

I had the Pypes mid muffler true dual exhaust with an x pipe installed about three weeks ago. The local shop installed it for $140, he said it took them less then 2 hours from the time they got it up in the air. You may be able to install them yourself, but since I don't have a lift in my back yard I decided to let someone else do it. I love the way they sound, they have a great growl to them and you can feel the extra HP and TQ.  The only problem I had was with cutting the bumper, the 4" tips are resting with only bout an 16th of an inch between them and the bumper. I cut the bumper all the way til I ran into steel, but they look great!!!

i have the xpipes system like mentioned above, most of it didnt really fit right and i had a shop custom make most of it for $240. only ended up using xpipe mufflers and tips... what a bummer....
it sounds great and i have recieved various complements

that was taken the day after install. its been a while now and they sound even better, all the popping has gone away(ecept for the normal cold engine pops that go away after it warms up)and it got a more agressive sound when i step on it, idle is quiet,almost stock GTish

kngdaka-- Grow up.  The original poster just wanted some advice on exhaust-- yet you see this as an opportunity to impress all the "me-too retards" from Off Topic-- the cesspool of Mustang Forums.

Then tell your section to follow the rules. Just because your the 'new hot thing' doesnt mean you can be like Al Gore, breaking rules and inventing internet and such.

Come on now, I've never had a problem here once. I go back in forth from OT and tech just to stay sane, life can't be serious all the time because that is ZERO fun. But NYstang is right, if the rules were followed in the first place this would've never happened. I didn't intend for everyone to come over here and go nuts, that is not my fault. Whenever a big sig I usually always post it there for a little humor. Cesspool huh? Most fun cesspool I've ever been apart of.

And I should be banned? Hmmm, allow me to point to the rights granted to me by the first amendment. If anything, all the posts that do not pertain to the subject at hand should be deleted.... and those posts included yours kind sir[;)]

As for the topic at hand, I'm actually buying that dual FRPP kit this week. All ford parts so I know it will fit perfectly. It comes with everything you need to instal too. Looks great as well[sm=smiley20.gif]

Wrong. his rights dont apply because this is a privately owned and operated site.

Sancho805 -> RE: frpp or pypes (5/5/2008 5:21:05 PM)

JBA muffs sound great also. not overpriced either.

NuclearMuscle523 -> RE: frpp or pypes (5/6/2008 9:13:44 AM)

is my sig too big? it might be due to the fact that there is no good quality computers in iraq. just a possibility....
thanks

4.0 $tang -> RE: frpp or pypes (5/19/2008 1:59:03 PM)

I have the pypes setup with dual Violators they are loud....but thats what i wanted

as for ease of installation....go to a shop...my x-pipe didn't fit right and they had to move the hangers like 10 inches...other than that good exhaust
