I'd love to get fired the day before I win the lottery. Actually, it would be cooler to get fired, get any unemployement compensation you're entitled to, run down your savings, run up your credit cards...and then win the lottery. Like, right when you're about to land on the streets. Perfect timing ftw.
I'd love to lay a strip all the way around the building and ride home on the rims. Or, bring another set of wheels in the trunk and jack the car up, swap em and lay a strip back the other way.

The only time I ever got fired turned out to be the best thing that ever happened.
Working for a PC company in Daytona & I am just out of school. We are doing a software upgrade in a bank afterhours. Sooo, here I am in a bank afterhours waiting hours for this tape to load (long time ago).
I am meandering around the lobby and well, Land o' Goshin', there is the vault. I study it for a minute and start to wonder, "Does the vault door have any slack in it at all or is it 100% solid with zero play?". Keep in mind that up until that point my exposure to vault doors had been nil.
So I reach out and grab the vault door and find out.
Later I tell my sorry assed boss about it and he flys up out of his chair and chews my ass but good. OK, I thought, I had that coming. 2 weeks later he **** cans me. 2 WEEKS!
Upshot, he fired me, met my wife through my next job, been married 14 years (or 15, I can't remember). The job I got after being fired was a fantastic job that took me around the world and led to places I could only imagine while I was checking that vault door for slack.

I've only been fired once and it was because I told my female manager to "Lick my ball sack"....she wasn't too pleased to say the least...

depends on the reason, but in my business life, its generally on a friday late in the day.
i told my boss that when its my time, do it on a tuesday.

Yea, Im pretty sure. Towards the end when the trainee finally snapped and was like "f u, fu, fu, and OOOOOO, especially FU!"...the last one was to Dane Cook...

Company I used to work for always did it on Friday at the end of the day. They always had security waiting as well. I guess they thought some people might go postal. Funny thing is the security guards were all like 60 yrs old, didn't carry any sort of weapon, not even pepper spray.
Not much they could have done if someone did snap, other than be an additional victim.
I only had to fire 1 person at my company and I just pretty much said, I can't use you anymore. See ya.

I worked at a grocerry store and I was there for 8 hours and I was supposed to go on break about 4 hours earlier. Anway my manager kept letting people that had gotten there before me go on break. I was not to happy about that and I kind of showed it. Afterwards I was outside I was told to go into the office. My manager was going to write me up, but I got so angry I scribbled all over it and threw it at him. So I guess I kind of fired myself haha since it was totally my fault O well my new job pays much better and not full of bulls***
