I know nobody WANTS to be fired.. but if its done what would you prefer to happen? when would you prefer it to be done? Obviously its never up to you.. but I was just wondering.. It seems that usually people are fired as soon as they get to work.. such as the girl that got fired here this am.. poor thing..
If I was going to be fired i would much prefer it to be as I was leaving for the day, or in my situation Id rather my boss to come to my location, tell me I was done and I had like 30 min/hour to get my **** together and leave. Id rather not wake up all early.. fight traffic for an hour.. then almost immediately be told to carry my ass home.. I'd like to be able to get the shock.. go home and get mad about it and sleep in a bit in the morning, catch a paper when I'm ready and start job searchin. I'd rather it be done on Friday too.. but meh..
so how 'bout it?

okay, i worked at cracker barrel for 8 months, straight day shift. made good money. just a job to have while im in school. well, for the past 3 months - the scheduling manager (lets call him adam), adam had me working 11-4 every day. which would be okay if you made any money, but you dont. so i told him one day that if he didnt change my schedule (I didnt mind working some 11-4's, just not everyday), that i would have to find another job b/c i wasnt making enough money. KEEP IN MIND; i lived 35 minutes away from the place. well one day, i go there to eat after church on Sunday (havnt worked a sunday since i started) and adam says... 'your suppose to be at work today'. Proceeded to tell me it was MY job to look at my schedule, okay- he changed the schedule with out telling me. So the following monday, i gave them a two notice. Then the lawyer im working for now calls and say "i need you to start wed". I went in Cracker Barrel, explained to Adam that I was really sorry about not being able to follow through with my 2 week notice. so he says "go ahead and work today, and its fine- no hard feelins". So i go to the break room to get ready, when I go up to the front- He took me off the floor plan, and i was like wtf adam...he proceeded to say "if you dont need me anymore, i dont need you". Dont know if that is getting fired, I went and got my sh*t and left! Only to have a phone call a week or so later from the main manager who I really got along with saying "you can come back and work any time that you want to, or on your days off from the law office"

I'll let you know if do something to merit a "probation" period. If you mess up during this time I may fire you at any time without notice. It's a tanning salon. It's not hard. If you get fired from here you really fugged up.
