So, i used to play this game all the time on my computer. Well, i stopped playin for a while, and the developers have greatly expanded it since i last played. I downloaded it last night (was almost 1 gig download). My computer used to run it flawlessly, but last night, it took forever to get it to boot up, then as soon as i created a new person, and entered the game it froze, and the game just shut down. This happened 3 times in a row, so i just gave up.
The game's website doesnt list system requirements. But i think i narrowed it down to 2 things, i just cant figure out which is causing it. either a lack of ram (my computer only has 502mb of ram) or my crappy graphics card.
which would cause the game to crash like that?

502mb ram? you had to have meant 512mb right? anyway, without knowing what the game is it would be hard to tell you if you should be able to run it, but in the games options you should be able to turn down its graphics settings... also, memory is cheap, buy more! try updating the drivers for your vid card too, could be some sort of conflict causing the crash, but my guess is its more to do with outdated hardware

My computer is a piece of ****. about 2 or 3 years ago i was about to buy a new computer cause my old one was way out of date. But instead, i was able to swindle my dad into selling me one of the extra computers from his office at a cheap price. Its a Sony Vaio VGC-RB40 Desktop.
Its got
200Gig hard drive 512 MB Ram 3 ghz Processor a crappy ass PCI Express graphics card that shares memory off the motherboard (supposed to run at 124mb or some crap, only runs at 64mb)
It was a nice computer for like the first year i had it, now its a slow ass turd. I keep it up with virus protection, firewall, spyware protection, etc. but i also have 100's of songs on it, and a lot of videos/pics
edit: what i find strange, is that my computer will run WoW perfectly fine...

go into your system bios
usually f10 the second you start up your computer and you can switch it from 64mb to 124mb shared video memory

on XP u can run most games with 512. you need good graphics card tho to avoid looking like a ps1

Went from P4 to Core 2 Duo 2.66, 4 GB Ram, GT8800 GT 512 Video, 550w powersupply, two new 250 GB SATA II disks, and two new Dell 22" wide LCDs. PC is rocking now. Sad thing is that I still can't play Crysis on DX10. In fact, 3 GeForce 8800 GTs in SLI can't play Crysis on DX10 at more than 40 FPS. Freaking sad.
I'm really contemplating purchasing another disk for all my application data. I've moved my swap file off to a unused spindle and picked up quite a bit of performance. I'm wondering if moving program files to a third would yield similar results.
