With all the recognition and good advice you get here it it no wonder you will not leave. It is dificult to imagine a resume so lacking that a da of the year would help it. But knowing that you got beat out by a wierd lesbo and a flaming gay explains alot.

You have to know how to play the game with office politics. ok you are the straight white guy working with a lot of gay folks. you are the antichrist in many ways to them. you have to make them feel as comfortable around you as possible. often they feel like you can not relate to them so you become an outsider. for example i had a boss that was a lesbian. she was more man than i could ever hope to be....lol  we only talked about work. nothing more nothing less until i started to show a little interest and carry on conversations with her that were not work related. From that point on our relationship at work improved. I have my "Circle of Excellance" award she gave me to prove it.

If that does not work you may have to step out of the closet and take one for the team

Do what everybody does on a resume, lie.

I wonder if you are a douche at work and everyone talks **** about you behind your back because you act like you are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and you know how to do everything with your half of a college degree.  we have people like that here at work.  nevermind what the people with experience and expertise think, YOU are better at doing their job than they are.  just reading the post makes you seem that way.

just a guess based on nothing at all.

and how the hell is winning the stupid RA of the year going to help you get a job??

the job is super easy so i know im doing a good job. I wanted it to go on my resume. no one talks **** about me behind my back because Im friends with all the people over there.

+1 get used to it.

i'm 36 and i can on all day long, especially when i'm drinking.

my first bad experience was trying to be a cop, clinton said 500 more in detroit, i tested in the top 10% , the cops there said if you got in the top 25% you'd probbaly be in the academy w/in 90 days

i am ex-marine, i was 3 points from a perfect 300 fitness score, i shoot expert w/ pistol and rifle, and i'm actually kinda smart.

6 months later i got a letter that said i was no longer being considered for the job because of my driving record....... i had 2 points on my license...thats it

now when i go through the city... you know what i see... extremely overweight black women are the cops, i doubt they can shoot run or stop a criminal.

affirmative action = racism

don't fool yourself, when you take a job from the more qualified candidate to give it to another because of color it is 110% pure and absolute racism
