I know i'm probably asking a lot but....what are the differences between the 02-04 Saleens? Like how many models each year (s281, s/c, extreme?) and what hp rating were each of them? 1/4 mile times and such also. Thanks a head of time.

Another question. Was the "red" color option the same shade of red through out 02-04? I've seen a few pics of red new edge saleens and some reds look darker than others. Maybe it was just the shading? I like the bright bright red color like the one from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Is there a specific name for it?

The 2 Fast 2 Furious cars were Saleen Custom Color Lizstick Red. Far and few.

Yes, Ford offered different reds through the run on new edge cars (1999-2004).

Rio Red: 1999

Performance Red: 2000-2001 (orange, vermillion hued red)

Torch Red: 2002-2004 (a bright red)

Laser Red: 1999-2001 (dark candy-ish red)

Redfire: 2002-2004 (dark red metallic)

I kinda' forget when Laser Red left for Redfire. I can't recall an early 2003 Cobra in Laser Red, but this a rough guide.

Some other difference's between 02-04, all 03-04 got the saleen seats standard, most got center exhuast, Saleen changed the center gauge pod, 03-04 have a glass plate in front of the gauges.
