Jazzer The Cat -> RE: Possible to get one set of DR's for a c6 Z06 and a S197GT? (4/17/2008 1:09:28 PM)

I, personally, think wheel adapters are a bad idea. The original studs will almost assuredly be longer than adapter and hit the wheel, as well as move the wheel outward and possibly get into clearance issues (but not necessarily). I can think of a few other reasons why I wouldn't use them, but the above reason is probably enough as you would have to cut your studs to fit the adapters, and would not be able to reinstall your regular wheels later. Even if it would work, would not feel comfortable with "hidden" nuts that cannot re-torqe easily. I check my lugs regularly as loose wheels are also a bad deal [:o] Jazzer is sorry to shoot holes in a pretty good idea [:)] BTW, what are DR's? As soon as you say, I will give a hearty Homer Simpson DOH! b/c I am drawing a blank at the moment.
