Hey guys,

May sound like a dumb question. I am in the market for some DR's this season. However, my dad said ( c6 z06), he would pay for 50% if they could fit his car and he would use them once a month....

I know our lug size is 5x114, and the vette is 5x120.7, I was thinking of buying an adapter such as this one...

Then, we could get some 17" rims, and bolt up some MT's....

Am I crazy, or could somehting like this work?

I, personally, think wheel adapters are a bad idea. The original studs will almost assuredly be longer than adapter and hit the wheel, as well as move the wheel outward and possibly get into clearance issues (but not necessarily). I can think of a few other reasons why I wouldn't use them, but the above reason is probably enough as you would have to cut your studs to fit the adapters, and would not be able to reinstall your regular wheels later. Even if it would work, would not feel comfortable with "hidden" nuts that cannot re-torqe easily. I check my lugs regularly as loose wheels are also a bad deal [:o]

Jazzer is sorry to shoot holes in a pretty good idea [:)]

BTW, what are DR's? As soon as you say, I will give a hearty Homer Simpson DOH! b/c I am drawing a blank at the moment.
