if you plan on keeping the car for a long time and i dont care how simple the process is of dropping the v8 in there its gonna bea nother headache..do you wanna go through that?? if i were u id slap a small turbo off a junkyard car or a john deere tractor, some one put a john deere turbo on his 89 drop top gt in MM&FF and it made liek 30 psi of boost...did it himself..id go that route, just quick simple bolt on power..

Last time I saw, you had no job. No job means no money for all of these ideas. Even if you could pull the stuff together to make it happen it would always be a pain in the ass because it would never be quite right and would be less reliable. Leave the car exactly how it is, bone stock. Enjoy the 30 mpg. Get job. Save money. Buy better car later.

i kinda got a job but its not a guaranteed pay. i fix computers, so every 2 days i update my ad of craigslist. ive had a couple calls, and i have a $300 - $400 job coming up tomorrow. run a complete network, fresh install Windows XP on 2 systems, wire it all up on a network, create a website for the guy (classic car sales[8D]) and piddle around with a mac computer.... [:@] i hate macs....

had a $130 job last weekend.. ran 600 ft of Cat6 cable(6 100' cables from attic to basement...) , and ran wires for a 5.1 surround sound system. i go back prolly this weekend, if not next weekend for another 4 hours $20.00 an hour to wire it up after the sheetrockers lay the sheetrock.

fun fun fun fun....

the money from tomorrows job will buy a new tire, a muffler (Cherrybomb turbo dual exits) and some bondo, and some primer, and will go towards the first 6 months of insurance.

next is to sell the moped... $200 OBO

does anyone know where i can buy replacement "immitation" soft tops? mines ripped.. i would take it off.... but the ugly roof is fiberglass, and is shaped to make it look like a convertible skeleton under the fabric... so.....

everything you have said you were going to do to the mustang never happened... (306 inline 6 cylinder swap.... turbo swap, V8 swap, toyota 2jz supra motor swap, [sm=icon_blah.gif])

Now you say you are a computer nerd and make your money from that and that is going to make enough money for whatever you wanna do to the POS celeberty [sm=nerd.gif].

If I were you just keep that car the way it is and save up money for another car to make your project. Me and sleeper both know, you cant have a project/DD car. It just doesnt work.

Ok, dude you need to kinda settle down and get a decently good shape car with a good gas mileage and get a real hourly paying job, im mean your a highschool graduate arent you? Did you the post office pays more than what 50 percent of the population makes? Also i mean i see you got a little computer business there but its not stable enough. I dont know how you go through so many cars man!

My suggestion would be an american car but a smaller car thats got fuel injection, also low maintaince. You can keep that little business on the side while you do a normal 9-5 job. Also people are actually paying you? How do they know you know about computers?

Just my suggestions sense you asked! Hope i helped.

ok.....

1988 Chevy Celebrity = American Small Car
2.8L LB6 60* V6 (173 cu in)
98,583 miles
30mpg = good
it is fuel injection

it has all the service records.

and all it needs is a new vinyl roof, some sanding around the wheel arches (maybe a lil bondo) and a paint job.
