Stopped in traffic.....but the driver two cars behind me didn't.

At least it was a minor accident for me.   The woman two cars behind me didn't notice that the traffic had come to a halt just a short way beyond the green llight.

She slammed her Saab into the Santa Fe behind me and his car was thrust into my Eclipse GT.   It wasn't a high speed bump, but it got my attention.

I got out expecting the worst and saw very little damage to my car.   Just two very small indentations from the Santa Fe's license plate screws.    I guess the Santa Fe front bumper and my Eclipse GT rear bumper match up pretty good.

Certainly an inconvenience, but I guess if an accident is going to happen.....better that it be this type.

i meant to say you had an SUV THAT HIT YOU with a lower bumper.....i don't think the santa fe's had a higher bumper like some of the older large SUVs.

If the SUV behind me had been a large, full sized one, I bet the damage would have been a lot  more.   Then again, maybe the Saab wouldn't have been able to move it.[sm=interesting.gif]

I had some guy do something like that to me before. But we were at a red light, waiting for it to go green and guy behind me decided to hit me. His excuse was he heard kids yelling so he look and took his foot off the brake and I was closer then he excepted.

Apparently, MUCH closer than he expected.

It's interesting that we have close calls all the time on the road and then in a moment of seemingly "calm".....bang.    You have the accident.

I'll still take it over the other ones, but it does point out how easy it is to be involved in an accident when you are doing nothing wrong at all.

I think I'll pass on that.   Some things are much better off left to the imagination.
