I thought it was absolutely beautiful. Of course I didn't watch it. But I have heard soundbites and read blogs of their answers and they were SO revealing.
The questions about Obamas preacher and connections with the guy from the Weather Underground are absolutely relevant. These are not people he has had casual relationships with, these are people whom he has known and socialized with for years on personal and political levels.
How does that old saying go? 'Show me a mans friends and I'll tell about the man' or something like that.
He is, I believe, at his core a miserable man that has to be conjoled into wearing an American Flag on his lapel. He speaks of unity and hope but sees and speaks of nothing but the anger and angst of the American people.
His wife is one bitter broad too. She was never proud of America until her husband ran for president?
His preacher spouting 'Don't say God Bless America, say God Damn America',
The guy from the weather underground set off bombs for God sake and kill people with those bombs!
These are not little idiosycracies (sp) or minor foibles of a man. These are extremely telling signs about who this man is and what he truely believes. These are the people with whom he chooses to cavort.
He is an empty suit. A very dangersous empty suit.
John McCain will clean the floor with either one of these inept bufoons. And thats saying something about the quality of the Dem candidates.
And by the way, capital gains affects most everybody at one point or another. Have you ever sold a house or a piece of property? The money you make on the sale of that (your profit) is what Uncle Sugar likes to call a Capital Gain. (Captial = $$ and Gain = Profit). The capital gains tax is one of the most hideous and economy killing taxes there is.
