Ok so I got a call today from a guy asking for my detailing services. He explained that he tried to put wax on his car the day before, and could NOT get the wax off. I called justin because I was not sure how to tackle this. He gave me a few tips, said it should be pretty simple. I also figured it would be a simple 20 minute job.

Oh how were we wrong

So I show up to this guys how to see his car covered in dried wax. The ENTIRE car. He had his son use his $20 buffer that he also uses, for sanding wood, some Cheap "Carnuaba" wax. His son decided instead of doing a small portion of the car, he would cover the entire car in wax THEN try to take the wax off. After that they left it outside in the 80 degree weather for the rest of yesterday and all of today (till I could get to it at 4pm). Direct sunlight. This turned out to be a hellish job.

I first washed the car with Waterless wash. Then I went over 2-3 times (Depending on how many it took to get off wax) with Poli-Seal. I followed with 1-2 times over with the Glaze, and did a single coat of the old spray wax.

Before:

Part done part not.

Left done, right not.

back 1/4 done, door not.

and Finished.

He walked out after I finished and said "Well I looked at the wax bottle again and it did not say automotive one it anywhere, just carnuaba wax"

If you can do it, add an all purpose cleaner to your wash and it will take the wax right off. This will save you lots of time.

Nice Job. Very Clean. How much time did you give it? How about the interior?

It took me 2 - 2 1/2 hours. I did not do anything but remove the wax, and apply a layer of wax because thats all that he requested.
