I got a call from a hopefull client today and I need some advice how to handle his problem.

Apparently he was waxing his Lexus yesterday, and his buffer would not take off the excess wax for some reason. He left it on and wants me to come by and get the wax off for him.

Now my problem is how do I take wax off that has been on for this long? Should I claybar it? Wash it withdish soap?

If I don't get a response soon Im calling Justin

Please help guys.

Thanks

I forgot to mention the products I have on me.

Automagic compound. Poliseal. Wash N gloss. Waterless wash. 2 kinds of wax.

And I could go pickup a claybar kit at autozone.

I called him. nice guy. He gave me a few pointers, but it was worst than either of us anticipated. It took a time over with waterless wash, 2 - 3 times over with poli seal, then 1 - 2 with the glaze to just get the caked on wax off. The guy used a $20 buffer(with some cheap "carnuaba" wax) he also uses for sanding wood, covered the entire car with wax in 80 degree weather, and THEN (after covering the entire car) tried to remove the wax.  Took me about 2 hours, and I charged him $50 (He ended up giving me a $10 tip making it $60)

I will get before/during/after pictures later. Rightnow I am going to shower and then go to Sushi.

Thanks for the help Justin, and sorry if I interupted dinner or anything.

Man that is pretty crazy!  I wasn't expecting all of that!

I'm glad it worked out for you though.
