I don't know a whole lot about the 60's and 70's, so I'll start with 80's.

80's- Buick GNX--Hands down. Fox bodies are 2nd though. F-bodies were worthless until the 20th Anniversary T/A's with the 3.8 Turbo.
90's- LT1 for early and LS1 for late
2000's- Terminator--The C6's are nice. But, they're more expensive and really aimed at a different crowd.

Hrrmmmm... kind of a toughie but I'll give it a shot..

40's: 49 merc.. I gotta agree with this one.. lol

50's: I'd say 57' vette.

60's: This is definitely a hard choice.. if we're going strictly production cars I'd have to say the 67 Shelby GT500 and/or the 67 A/C Shelby Cobra.. Though the 67 Ferarri 250 GTB is just sex on wheels..

70's: Not too many cars out of the 70's that I really dug, but I will say that I love the 78/79 Bandit style T/A's. The 71 Mach 1 is a VERY close 2nd..

80's: I never dug the 80's vette's, but they're still close. All in all I would have to say it's a tie between the F-40 ferarri and the old 'vette's.

90's: I know I'm gonna get kicked in the nuts for this one, but I still LOVE the 95/96 Viper GTS..

2000-present: There are so many good cars out now it's hard to say, but for me, the 01'/'02 LS1 powered formula T/A's, the 2000 Cobra R, the Mach 1, and the Z06 Vette's are all up there. I don't think I could pick between 'em. lol

I grew up in the 80 racing on front street in philly. The 5.0 was a dream come true for us street racers (Fast & Cheap) so I'll cast a vote for the fox!

I'll let this go cause you're an SRT-4 owner and you guys are pretty goofy , but lets try to keep mainly lists
Why don't I just make a list of all the reasons I hate you!!!

60's and 70's -- Challenger/Charger/Cuda/SSJ Cobra Jet
80's -- Fox
90's -- TT Supra
00's -- Terminator...

The Terminator is just a better deal then your average C6... and even the Z, imo.. Much cheaper, easier to mod, and you can let people sit in the back

Yeah Subotai.....finally a Viper fan

50s   Vette
60s   AC Cobra
70s   T/A 455SD
80s   Back to the Vette
90s   Viper
y2K   Back to the Vette

Yes, I had an 87 Stang GT and it was a great car, but people seem to ignore the 85 change in the Vette which brought it into the world class arena

What?!?!?!?! The 85ish Vettes were absolute dogs. Lucky to break into the 14's. I won't even touch the last of the C3 cars.....

OK, OK   It wasn't really until the LS1 C5 that things got really good. As an old fart the C4 was a huge improvement from what we saw from 74 to 83.

Revision.......80s........Fox or GNX

I think the reason foreign cars are missing from the list (up until the 90s) is the fact that they were not well accepted and not many were around like we see today.  The best europe, japan, etc had to offer were kept on their own soil... we got what they 'thought' we wanted.   Times have certainly changed.

I was just putting more affordable cars. But, if we're talking about some exotics and really expensive cars, then I'd give the early 90's to the ZR-1 Vette. LT5 FTW!!!! And also '00's to the C6 Z06.

I don't think people used too many imports on their list cuz there arent many fast imports that most people could afford until recently.

50's- Vette
60's- Any REAL muscle car
70's- "  "
80's- Fox (I agree with GNX, but how many people actually had one?)
90's- Fbody
00's- LSx cars

I often wonder why the Termies are compared to the C6 when the C5 Z06 had it's number. Termie upgrades the blower, Z06 swaps the heads and cam..

Now the base C6's are right at $40K and run low 12s...
